3rd Phase-Employed with a fresh start
Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is a 12 month program. In the first phase, students acclimate to campus life, learn fundamentals of Christian faith, and develop a work ethic. In the second phase, students develop life skills and mature in their Christian faith. In the final third phase of the program, students gain employment and develop a strategy for transition back into the community. This last phase of the program also provides Christian discipleship classes, counseling, and essential educational tools, such as Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University materials, which teaches men and women how to create and live by a budget. The transitional living facilities for the third phase include a men’s campus in Brenham, and women’s campuses in San Antonio and Houston.
Our Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas staff and leaders are doing an amazing job at our transitional living facilities to help our students in their last phase. Once the students complete the third phase of the program, they are invited back to their original campus for a celebration and graduation ceremony. Often, directors and staff from other campuses will drop by the third phase transitional living campuses to lift-up, pray for, and encourage the students.
San Antonio Men’s Director, Floyd Miles, III went to visit his San Antonio students who recently entered into the third phase at the Brenham men’s transitional living campus. Miles said, “I spent the day at the Brenham campus. I went there to encourage and check up on the San Antonio guys. All of the guys are gainfully employed and attending their home church. We have about 22 students from the San Antonio campus. We praise the Lord for these changed lives.”
